Sponsorship

As a certified non-profit, the Student Finance 101 Society has begun the application process for charitable tax status in order to develop sustainable funding for this help-site. In all but three years, this helpsite has been entirely self-funded. The years of exception, 2006 through 2008, were considered sponsored when local businesswoman Margaret Johnson paid part of the site's technical expenses in exchange for ad and other services. As for labour costs, in every year since it was founded in 1999, all our work has been donated, with the exception of occasional technical work.

Who Can Sponsor?

As a community service, Debt 101 would need sponsors with a good reputation. We hope to add further sponsors in future from reputable businesses and organizations in financial services and debt management sectors. This would help expand our content and outreach.

The help on this website is directly relevant to more than 2,000,000 Canadians – future students, current students and former students who are now paying off their student loans.

These are the community leaders and professionals of the future. Helping them is a way of helping all.
