Canada Student Loan Program (CSLP) Reports
The Review of Canada Millennium Scholarship Foundation Bursaries: A Micro Study
Prepared by Leesha Lin, Malgorzata Winiszewska and Ahmed Shalaby, Canada Student Loans Program (CSLP) Directorate, Learning Branch, Human Resources and Social Development Canada (HRSDC), August 2007.
Some would say that this 254-page study is 'micro' only in terms of its level of detail. Using in-depth analysis, this Review compares the effects of student financial assistance supplied by federal and provincial governments with the bursaries and grants that eligible students used to get through the Canada Millennium Scholarship Foundation.
In making this comparison, this study provides a wealth of detail on issues ranging from the comparative effects on student's debt loads to the demographics of those receiving aid.

Canada Student Loan Program Annual Reports
These government-issued reports are key for anyone studying our student loan system. Detailed information is provided on the Canada Student Loan Program (CSLP), which gives some sense of how it performs in terms of social goals and cost-effectiveness.
Having fallen behind in self-documentation, the CSLP has still not caught up. "Annual" reports have sometimes not appeared until several years after the actual year of the report.
However, there has been some catchup recently. Reports for the academic years 2004-2005 and 2005-2006 were both published in 2007, while the 2006-2007 report came out in 2008.
At writing (2009), no report has yet been published for 2007-2008.
